I think the pollen level is slowly decreasing...

...so we ventured outside quite a bit this weekend to enjoy the nearly perfect weather. The first part of Saturday was spent doing urban battle with other shoppers as we tried to get some basic errands done. Everything you hear about Atlanta traffic is only 80 percent true on Saturdays, but since neither of us commutes during the week even that feels 300 percent worse than anything we ever dealt with in Greensboro or Asheville. But that made us appreciate our discovery later in the day of a county park only about 20 minutes from our house that is just awesome - along a long bike trail that we'll try one day but with also with nice wide hiking trails that allow us to bring Poor Old Crippled Fife along in his stroller so he doesn't have to stay home. The trail was just a little bit longer than Kaylee was willing to walk at a reasonable pace either, though, so we made what will undoubtedly become the regrettable discovery that we can indeed fit two lazy shelties in one stroller, thus compounding the level of associated humiliation.

On Sunday we went over to Grant Park for a scavenger hunt. It was a "CSI" theme, where we hoofed it around the park for about three hours unraveling clues and taking pictures of "crime scenes" and so on. We met up with a few other people and formed a team, which was cool because Leslie and I together probably wouldn't have gotten through it all in time without the urging on by our teammates, who were a bit more concerned with ultimate victory than we were (we kind of just wanted to get to walk around the park outside!) But Ashley, Lisa and Stephanie were all fun and good post-hunt drinking buddies, even though we were denied our rightful win. The mystery of why I chose to wear sandals when the invitation clearly suggested comfortable walking shoes remains unsolved.

Okay, you have answered my question. Which was, "Who buys a dog stroller???" I can't decide which word to italicize for emphasis, Who, Buys, Dog, and Stroller all work.
