It's been about a month since we learned about Fife's kidney disease. He's still hanging in there, through the five or six times each day we have to give him food and water by hand. He still seems pretty alert and comfortable, so we're hoping he'll hang around through Christmas. The bad news (besides the obvious) is that we can't really make him eat enough to keep his weight up, so he's losing body fat. The good news is that keeping him wrapped in a blanket to stay warm will mean the time he has left will be extra-adorable.
